Nope, I think this tweak is usefull in several needs and conditions. Off course, like every tweaks, it have positive point, also a side effect :). Everything is logical. This tweak surely would make your systems much faster, because, like we all know, working directly from RAM always faster than from enything else. But yea, it's occupying some spaces of your RAM, so it can't be used by other applications. So, this tweaks will be useful with a computer that don't have to run extremely big, memory hungry application (like Quake ;) ). It suitable for servers, or office computers, maybe a home computers, but not for a game freak, for sure:)

Nice tweak, please don't erase your blog. It's useful, if you know how and when you used it.

You shouldn't just do these things--be smart and look them up before doing it.
It's essentially keeping the OS from doing as many page swapping, i.e. saving and loading pages of memory to disk to back. This will lessen the amount of memory available for applications, so don't do it unless you have excess memory.

Don't do it!

My network places would not connect to anything.
Services crashing everywhere.
I got my computer back by deleting the mentioned values from the registry.
Every time I changed them back to 0, I would reboot and they would be 1 again.

You should delete this blog post.
You're not getting rave reviews

I don't get it. I am using this thing on two pcs for more than a year and it works great. Maybe this problem comes with SP2-3 or something.

Great Tweak. My PC now boots to the Windows XP Splash screen then a black screen.

I selected Last Known Good on boot and reverted.

Folks, be very careful before trying this.

Thumbs Down.

As zambuka said, IOPageLockLimit does nothing, to be more clear, itonly does stuff on Windows 2000 no service pack, and Windows NT 4. It is useless on WinXP, Windows 2000 with any service pack, and later.

LargeSystemCache only helps with servers, it will make LESS RAM available to applications.

DisablePagingExecute will only help on systems with a lot of RAM, but even then, not much as the system won't likely be paging it if it has that much RAM available, as it will make Windows use more RAM, thus giving other applications less RAM to work with.
