Yesterday I discovered a new firefox addon called the Social whale extension, which is very useful for twitter users. This addon does a very simple thing. When you click it, it copies to the clipboard a short url (using the twt.gs service) of the page that you are browsing at the moment.

Additionally you can right click it and select to upload a photo. In that case it will upload a picture you will choose to twitpic and copy to the clipboard the url of this photo. This addon is a time saver and if you use it with the twitterfox addon you can turn your browser to a full twitter client.

For more information and installation instructions visit the social whale extension page.

Some times when surfing the web I have to shut down the pc, or I want to restart Firefox because of a memory leak, but yet I can’t do that because there are many open tabs with sites that I have to check. I know this sounds like a silly problem but if you face it, it can be a pain in the ***.

Anyway if you are annoyed by this situation as I am, here is a fast solution :

Open the task manager (Ctrl + Alt + Del) and go to the processes tab.

Find the firefox process (firefox.exe) and simple kill it (click on the firefox.exe and then the button “End Process”)

You are done. Next time you will open Firefox it will ask you to keep or not to keep the previous session.
